Presser Foot Attachment, LOW - Singer (Vintage Original)
This is the standard straight-stitch presser foot included with most all vintage Singer Sewing Machines, including the Singer Featherweight 221 and 222K. If you have a Singer Featherweight then you will need to select "low shank" as the style of your sewing machine model. This presser foot is for straight-stitch only. Do not try to zigzag stitch (if using on a zigzag machine) using this presser foot. This is a vintage original part, so there may be age related characteristics from a 70-90+ year-old item that was used.
LOW SHANK: fits the Singer Featherweight 221, 222K and all low, vertical shank Sewing Machines (i.e. 15, 27, 28, 66, 99, 185, 127, 128, 192, 201, 206, 237, 306, 319, 320, 328, as well as many other brands besides Singer)
The correct term for the attachment foot is "presser foot", but occasionally we have heard a misnomer of "pressure foot", probably because of the downward pressure that is applied from the internal presser bar spring. Click here for the Featherweight parts information.
