Singer Featherweight 221 Sewing Machine, AF482*** - Corduroy Insert - RARE

Our Machine Shipping Staff are currently at Quilt Festival; this machine will not ship until the week of October 13th - 17th.

Completely serviced, cleaned, polished, electrically inspected, timed, tuned and sampled - this Featherweight 221 will be ready to sew right out of the case. This machine is fitted with an original 110-volt motor that has been rewound to work at optimum speed and torque.

 AF482*** indicates an original production commission date of April 10th, 1940. The machine is in very nice condition and just some light wear; it is given a Grade 7+.  Be sure to click on any image to view this Singer Featherweight machine.

This machine is distinguished by its case, and the unique case lid insert.  It has the extremely desirable type II corduroy case insert from.  Filled with notions and accessories, this was and still is a very desirable accompaniment to the Featherweight!

Additional Quilting Attachments can be purchased, and if you need any Fashion Aids for apparel or ornamental sewing (e.g., Buttonholer, Blind Stitcher, etc...), we will prepare samples for those as well should you decide to purchase them separately.

The Original Bobbin Case is included, adhering to originality all these years later.  The machine has been serviced and calibrated for quilter’s cotton, so tension is already properly set; however, tension can easily be adjusted depending on fabric needs.

The machine is fitted with an original scrolled faceplate, and the original case includes the side tray for holding the attachments.
